I make magnets in-house using my Epson 9900 printer. The art is created in gouache paint, scanned, color corrected and then printed on sheets of Epson Lustre photo paper. Since they are shaped, I have to cut them out by hand and then glue them onto 4-ply matboard using archival bookbinding adhesive. After drying, I cut them all out by hand again (using scissors) and sand the edges as best as possible. Re-gluing is sometimes necessary, so I inspect each one and re-glue if needed. A self-adhesive magnet is stuck to the back, and viola – a magnet is born!
Please note that these magnets only hold 1 or 2 sheets of paper to a fridge, or a single postcard. They are meant for decorative use only and cannot hold stacks of paper onto your fridge.
